Plymouth Winterfest 2017

Plymouth Youth Foundation will be hosting the first annual Winterfest  on Saturday December 30th from 430 to 9pm   The fun starts at 4:30 p.m. with a short, but sweet kids race from Shirley Square to Memorial Hall.

Memorial Hall will host two instant circus performances by Aerialicious Entertainment, a troupe of entertainers who have performed in circuses across the country and around the world.The 45-minute instant circus performances will start at 5:30 and 7 p.m. and will feature acrobatics, magic, aerial silks and aerial hoops.

Plymouth Winterfest 2017

Aerialicious owner and performer Gina DeFreitas said Aerialicious will turn downtown into a WinterFest wonderland of roving performers. As you make your way down Main Street you may also encounter a tall walking snow queen on stilts, Frosty the snowman, the Hula Hoop Invasion, jugglers, comedy antics and even a roving acrobat in a snowball.

Local business will host spin art, a winter wonderland photo booth, and bubbles of all shapes and sizes, as well as face painting, glittering tattooing and balloon twisting.

Starting at 5 p.m., Pinnacle Laser Productions, which performs at the New Year’s celebration in the city, will perform a 20-minute laser show on a giant inflatable screen on the front lawn of the new Town Hall, every hour on the hour.

The event will feature a pop up art show as well as music and dance performances by local students.

5:30 – 8:00 pm: Tractor Hayrides on North Street with Fire Engine after parade
6:00 pm: Parade begins from S. Russell St. to Town Square
6:15 pm: CommuniTREE 2017 TREE Lighting @ Town Square with State Senator Vinny deMacedo as the Special MC & followed by the start of the 6th Annual Winter Lights Race
6:30 – 8:00pm: Meet & Greet with Santa at Plymouth Center of the Arts 11 North St. – Cookie Decorating & Refreshments
6:00 – 7:30 pm Lights of Hope Luminaria Display at the Grist Mill. Bags can be purchased for $5 each at the Beth Israel Deaconess. All proceeds go to the Cranberry Hospice Children’s Bereavement Program
5:30 – 8:00 pm: Church of the Pilgrimage in Town Square will have a collection of Nativity Scenes from all over the world in the sanctuary FREE hotdogs, cookies & hot chocolate at Allerton Hall.
5:30 – 7:30 pm: Winter Spiral at the First Parish in Plymouth, Unitarian Universalist Church.
6:00 & 7:30 pm: The Robinson Center will offer 2 “Mini” Nutcracker presentations from the Dance DreamWorks.
5:00 – 8:00 pm: Craft Beer Cellar Plymouth will be pouring FREE samples for a holiday tasting
5:30 – 7:30 pm: Sam Diego’s Plymouth will be giving out FREE hot chocolate
5:30 – 7:30 pm: Meaningful Day Services at 18 Middle St. will be having an open house and serving hot chocolate & snacks
8:00 pm Johnny Souza & Friends Annual Christmas Show bring their holiday music to the Spire Center for Performing Arts at 25 Court St.

America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration will occur in Plymouth, Massachusetts the weekend before Thanksgiving. November 17-19th   with the huge Thanksgiving parade and the New England food festival.

The 2017 Downtown Plymouth Waterfront Festival will be held on Saturday August 26th from 10-6pm . Plymouth’s waterfront for live entertainment, a kids fun-zone, car show, sing-off, a ducky dash, craft and artisan booths, food vendors, and more.

Please note: The Jenney Grist Mill Parking Lot will be closed on Saturday, August 26th for the Motor Head’s Cruise-In Car Show. Please NO PARKING!



Pilgrim Memorial Park Cultural Survival Bazaar 2017

Pilgrim Memorial Park will be the host to Cultural Survival Bazaar on Saturday July 22nd Sunday July 23rd   11-6pm It is a rain or shine event. 

This free admission, family-friendly festival features art, crafts and other ethically made cultural products created by Native artists from around the world. Enjoy demonstrations by artists, Indigenous cuisine, and live music from around the world. Chat with Indigenous artists about their crafts and cultures and bring home a beautiful memento of your local trip around the world.
