Easton Lions Holiday Festival Weekend 2017

The Easton Lion’s Annual Holiday Festival will be held (rain or shine or snow) Saturday December 2nd    from 10 am to 6 pm   and Sunday  December 3rd   from 12 noon to 5 pm. There is a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday morning Easton Lions Holiday Festival  Weekend 2017 Christmas fun as well

It includes a very popular Arts & Crafts Fair  both days, live entertainment outside, food, games, rides, parades and a kids show and Holiday Parades on Sunday.

North Easton Savings Bank is our premier sponsor again this year along with many other local businesses.

Saturday Events at the Rockery

Noon – 5:00pm Rockery Grounds Family Festival Events   Trackless Train sponsored by Creative World Children’s Learning Center, FREE for all! Ride the ever popular trackless‐train or enjoy a hayride around the historic district.  Enjoy warm food, hot chocolate, and drinks prepared by the Easton Lions Club.

Noon – 4:00pm Rockery on Main St Lions Eyemobile Come warm‐up in the Lions’ District 33‐S Eyemobile, a specially equipped RV designed  to provide FREE health screenings for vision, hearing, and blood pressure

 5:00pm Rockery Santa Arrives & Lighting! Sponsored by Shovel Town Brewery  Bring your family and friends to welcome Santa as he arrives on his fire truck and leads  the crowd in the lighting the Rockery and holiday house decorations on the North

8:00am – 10:30am Oakes Ames Hall Holiday Breakfast                                                                                       Breakfast with Santa ‐ Supported by Boy Scout Troop 193.   Join us and kick off the downtown holiday festivities with a breakfast with Santa. Tickets $6 ea., $25 for families

 1:45pm – 3:00pm Oakes Ames Hall “Greatest Kids Show…Ever!!!”     Join in the fun with this amazing show. Wide array of live music, the dynamic dance  teams from Dance Express, and the energetic Personal Best Karate demonstration.   Sound provided by Sraveo. Space is limited, so show up early!  Tickets only available at  the door on the day of the event. Additional donations welcome! Tickets $2 donation per person.    Proceeds benefit Lions’ Eye Research and the Easton community

Easton Festival of Trees 2017

The Easton Charitable Trust proudly announces the 7th annual Festival of Trees! This
year’s Festival will be held for three weekends (Thursday to Sunday) from November 25th
– December 10th at the Easton Country Club located at 265 Purchase Street. The Country Club was founded in 1961, and this family owned and operated establishment is the perfect venue for the magnificent display of beautifully decorated holiday trees. Thousands of viewers are expected to attend and take chances on winning a
decorated tree or simply bask in the beauty of the Christmas season while enjoying a drink or snack. In  addition, our hugely popular Lottery and Giving Trees will once again be filled to capacity, and our added events will ensure fun for the whole family.

Additional Attraction – Shopping Event
Come shop the Festival of Trees Marketplace, open only four hours during the festival to allow you to
shop while spending an afternoon or evening while enjoying the 50 + beautifully decorated trees,
having a bite to eat or even a holiday cocktail. See this collection of interesting crafters and vendors
that have gathered with us for this event. Entrance to the Marketplace is included with your paid
admission to the Festival of Trees. Vendors to be announced. The Marketplace at the Festival of Trees
will be open 4-8 p.m

For the second year the Victorian Carolers will mingle and sing from 5– 8 p.m., as you stroll through the
beautiful trees. Enjoy the sounds of the season and sing along with our Victorian Carolers

Saturday December 2

Festival opens to the public from noon till 8 p.m. for tree viewing.
Special Kids Workshop Event – Tickets $7.00 per person, kids and adults, 3 years and older
We agree that nothing’s better than being a kid during the holidays, and to prove it we’ve put aside 3 special hours before the Festival opens dedicated just for them! Our Kids Workshop will be chock full of fun activities that every child loves, including a craft station, a cookie station, a tattoo station, exciting raffle prizes and  more. Even Santa himself is putting time aside from checking the list twice and coming to this Kids  Workshop…what a great photo opportunity! One admission price includes all the above and tree viewing, so
don’t let your child miss this exciting event or you’ll be on someone’s naughty list!
The Country Club will be open from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., and is a private event that includes tree viewing with  your prepaid admission of $7.00 for adults and kids 3 years and older. (We will have limited walk in
admission available on the day of this event)

Our final day of festivities ends at 5 p.m. Come on down to the Country Club and get your tickets for your last
chance to win one of our spectacular trees. We will be closing early to begin drawing the winning tickets and
notifying the lucky people!!

The  Old Colony  YMCA branches i will be hosting a Healthy Kids Day on Saturday April 22nd .  Healthy Kids Day is free community event designed to connect local families with information and resources which support healthy family habits, and help build happier, healthier kids!

The Farmer’s Daughter – Holiday Festival in Downtown Easton
Saturday, December 03, 2016, 10:00 – 17:00  New This Year: The Farmer’s Daughter is having a Holiday Festival in Downtown Easton on Saturday, December 3rd. There will be signature cocktails, kid’s hot cocoa bar, complimentary hor d’oeuvres and a Lions Club raffle. In the space next to the Farmer’s Daughter there will be an area set-up and open to the public!

Rockery Lighting Ceremony with Santa
Saturday, December 03, 2016, 17:00 – 18:00  Join Santa as he arrives on his big Red Fire Truck and help kick-off the holiday season with lights and music at the Rockery! The lights will turn on each evening in December from about 4:30 to 10:00 pm. Playing time of show is about 20 minutes and starts every half-hour.  Lights and music arranged by John Lamar & Charlie Dresing.

Holly Fair and Breakfast with Santa
Sunday, December 04, 2016, 08:00 – 13:00  Breakfast with Santa goes from 8:00am to 12:00pm, tickets available at the door. The Fair is free to all! Come take a chance on fabulous raffle baskets and the Snowflake Raffle; enjoy the delicious cookie stroll, homemade jams & pickles, and the buck-a-bag for kids.

As part of the Village Festival of Lights, the Annual Holiday Parade, with Santa Claus leading the way, will start at 1:00 pm (assembly begins at 12:30 pm) at the Easton Village Shoppes/Washington Plaza (Corner of Rte. 138 – Washington Street- and Main Street). The parade runs down Main St through the Rockery and ends past the library on North Main St.

If you, your family, your group or organization would like to participate with your business vehicle, a float, a decorated car, truck, wagon, bicycle, just march in, or whatever, you would be most welcome! This is an opportunity to be imaginative and get your business or group in front of townspeople. Easton Festival of Trees 2016

The Festival of Trees 2016 opens on Saturday, November 26th  . and runs through Sunday, December 11th . Stroll through the beautiful display of decorated Christmas trees while enjoying a festive holiday cocktail or a bite to eat from the Easton Country Club’s pub style menu. (Food and drink available daily throughout the Festival). Take in a hay ride or walk the grounds of this pristine country club to make this a truly memorable event. And to help us remember our furry friends this holiday season, Rocco the Mascot from the Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog organization will be making a special appearance.  One admission price includes all of the above and admission to the tree festival, and early online registration earns your child a free ornament upon entry.  So don’t let your child miss this exciting event or you’ll be on someone’s naughty list!

PAINT PARTY

 Remember the days when you put on your Sunday best and hopped in the Olds for a cruise around town to check out holiday decorations?  Well on Saturday December 10th you’ll be able to relive those memories right here at the Festival of Trees! Come listen to the harmony of Victorian Christmas Carolers, view the nostalgic display of Vintage Holiday cards, and admire the impressive collection of Antique Cars, compliments of the Old Colony Model T Club.  At 3:00 the Easton Historical Society’s Ed Hands will be speaking on the history of the Easton Country Club property.  So step out of the hectic present day and take a walk with us back to a time when life was simple and beautiful.

HOLIDAY MUSIC BY MARY PARKER AND GERRY GOTCHALK
FRIDAY 12/9  |  6-8 PM

Gerry Gotschalk and Mary Parker will be performing a perfect background of holiday music for strolling through the aisles of beautifully decorated Christmas trees….and for choosing your favorite!

 

Gerry is most remembered for his long and successful position as “house pianist” at Christo’s in Brockton. He is currently free lancing and sharing his talents along with Mary at other local events.

 

Mary is also a familiar face because of her many years of performance with her own trio and with well known Boston based big bands. Along with entertaining, she is currently enjoying her teaching position at the Stedfast School of Music and Arts in North Easton.
