Patriot Place has implemented a new online registration system to help ease lines and long wait times so you and your family may enjoy Patriot Place. Via a standby line, we will allow guests to register onsite with their donation on the day of the event (Saturday, November 18) however, we cannot guarantee a specific time slot or entry. Guest may arrive between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM with their donation and will be placed in a queue. Patriot Place staff members will escort families to the photo area on an as available basis. The standby line will be on a first come, first serve basis. Patriot Place will try our best to accommodate every guest to the best of our abilities, however the standby line does not guarantee entry.

Cookie Decorating Workshop at Davio’s

This Holiday Season Davio’s is getting creative with confections during their annual Cookie Decorating Workshop! This year, on Sunday, December 10th, Davio’s will host two sessions from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, participants will receive a blank canvas in the form of cookies and a decorating kit to create their own holiday inspired treats. Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance from the North Pole as well!
A kid’s lunch buffet will be provided and candy will be on-hand for inspiration. This event is $30 per child (excluding tax & gratuity) and adult admission is free. In honor of the giving season, Davio’s ask that each participating child bring a new pair of hat and mittens to donate to Cradles for Crayons.
The Nutcracker Ballet – it just may be the most classic of holiday traditions. And while the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker is the most traditional of them all, choices for South Shore families are numerous: traditional performances to modern interpretations, full-length, lavish productions to less traditional versions.

The International Ballet School of Norwell
The International Ballet School of Norwell will be performing 2 shows of the Nutcracker at Hingham Middle School December 2nd @ 6:00PM and December 3rd @ 2:00PM

The Braintree Ballet Company Proudly presents it’s 19th season of the Nutcracker for 3 performances Saturday December 9th 2pm & 7pm and Sunday December 10th 2pm at East Junior High in Braintree. Tickets are $25 online Cash only at the door

Under the cover of nightfall, after all have gone to sleep, the Mouse King rears his fuzzy head to stir up mischief, and audiences gasp as legions of mice capture Masha’s strong-jawed Nutcracker companion and carry him away. The ensuing battle ushers the action into the enchanted Land of Peace and Harmony in the ballet’s second act, where Masha and her Nutcracker prince are welcomed with a grand celebration of world cultures, playful animals, and ballroom dancing — making Masha and the audience wonder if this was all a dream. Experience the magic of a holiday tradition as José Mateo Ballet Theatre brings its beloved production of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker to the Strand Theatre for its 10th season. Get swept up in the fantastical story of Clara, who dreams that her toy nutcracker comes to life and takes her on an adventure to the Land of Sweets. Together they battle the evil Mouse King and dance with the Sugar Plum Fairy. Combining ballet, swing, flamenco, hip-hop, step and urban tap along with Tchaikovsky’s classic score and Duke Ellington’s signature swing, Tony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker features a multicultural cast of talented dancers in this contemporary retelling of the classic fairy tale. Now in its 16th year, the production remains fresh with updated choreography, new costumes and surprise guest stars. Instead of the traditional children’s roles “Clara” and “Fritz,” though, this version of the story presented at Boston’s Back Bay Events Center
The 2017 Rockland Holiday Stroll is scheduled to take place Saturday evening, November 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. The stroll will take place from the Rockland Library to the Magoun-Biggins Home on Union Street. This is a great Christmas holiday event for the entire family.
At 4 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at Biggins Funeral for the parade . South Shore BMW of Rockland showing off their convertibles. The Rockland police and fire departments, Rockland Cheerleaders, Marie’s M.a.D. Dancers and South Shore Tae Kwon Do (SSTKD) are just some of the groups included in the parade.
The City of Quincy will host its annual slate of Christmas events beginning on Friday, November 24th with the Turning on of the Christmas Lights. Santa and his elves will arrive by parachute on November 25th and the 64th Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, November 27th at 12:30. All events are free and open to the public.

The activities will kick off at 5:00 pm and includes the Donna Marie Children’s Puppet show, Costumed Characters, and the combined Quincy/ North Quincy Choir. The performances will be held inside of a heated tent that will be set up on the lawn. At 6:00 PM, Mayor Thomas P. Koch will turn on the Christmas lights at the library and throughout Quincy Center to mark the beginning of our holiday season. Please join family and friends and enjoy free popcorn and hot chocolate on this very special night.

City of Quincy Christmas Parade

The parade has over 100 units which include high school and adult marching bands from around the state, Christmas themed floats, and many more exciting entries. The legend of Christmas in story and song.” is the theme fr the 65th annual event
This holiday tradition is often attended by mulitple generations of families who usually have a favorite spot along the route; Hancock Street between School Street and East Squantum Street. The parade kicks off at School Street intersection starting at 12:30
Cape Cod Central Railroad is offering The Train to Christmas Town Ride weekends from November 18th to December 27th in Buzzards Bay. Aboard the train, dancing chefs serve warm cocoa and a delicious nut-free chocolate chip cookie to each passenger. After the train rolls into the North Pole, Santa boards with his elves and gives each child a shiny silver bell while the elves lead a merry sing-along. Similar t a Polar Express ride

Train to Christmas Town features an engaging cast of storybook characters including Wabash the squirrel, Zephyr the cat, and Bumblebee the bear, all going to Christmas Town on the train. It teaches the value of friends and family, keeping traditions, and how the magic of Christmas is for all ages, not just children.
