New England Patriots Football Training Camp 2017 in Foxboro MA

For Patriots fans who want to get closer to the action or are looking for an inexpensive way to entertain the kids,   Patriots Training Camp offers just the ticket.
Ninety Patriots players report to training camp at Gillette Stadium for daily practice sessions under the watchful eye and often vociferous instruction of their coaches.

Besides watching the team practice, we hope you explore all the fun-filled activities, games and photo opportunities along the Fan Walk and Play Football area. Be sure to keep an eye out for appearances by Pat Patriot, the Patriots Cheerleaders and Patriots Alumni.

Please note all activities will stay open after practice for one (1) hour.

All fans participating in physical, interactive activities at training camp are required to sign a waiver form. You can print, fill out and bring the form with you to camp, or, while attending camp, visit either the Guest Assistance tent on the Fan Walk or the Waiver tent in the Play Football area.

Raymond Clayborn will become the 26th player to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 29. The ceremony will take place at approximately 12:30PM in the NRG plaza immediately following training camp. Clayborn played a vital role in bringing the Patriots to respectability in the late 1970s and early ‘80s. During his 13 seasons in New England, he helped lead the Patriots to 10 winning seasons, including four postseason berths. He also set a franchise record by playing in 161 consecutive games. Be sure to get your seats early in the NRG plaza to watch Robert Kraft and other Patriots Alumni present Clayborn with his Patriots Hall of Fame jacket.

Whitman Hanson Kids Fitness Festival 2017

Whitman Hanson Kids Fitness Festival will be held on Saturday April 8th  from 11am-2pm at the Whitman Hanson Regional High school.   Whitman Hanson Kids Fitness Festival 2017

This is an indoor event where families can have fun while sampling healthy food samples and trying new activities. We will have an obstacle course, dance and karate demonstrations, fire and police exhibits and a lot more!! Tickets are sold at the door and admission is $5 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Panther Education Trust which provides grants for enrichment programs at the WHRHS.

South Shore Natural Science Center Norwell

February 20-24

9:00 am – 12:30 pm. Extended Day until 2:30 pm

Ages 6-10

$35 per day for Members, $40 per day for Nonmembers, $20 per day for extended day

Nature is filled with engineers.  The best tools or designs are often inspired by nature. How does a bird’s nest differ from a beaver’s dam? What does an animal need to fly? Can you build a tool to mimic a whale’s mouth? Each day we will create, build, and test our designs while looking at nature for inspiration. Dress for the weather as each day will include outdoor exploration as well as hands-on activities and experiments.

Monday:  Bird Shelters (Children staying for Extended Day will see the Eyes on Owls show)
Tuesday:  Biomimicry
Wednesday: Mammal Shelters

Friday: Feeding Frenzy

Join the NRT naturalists for a fun-filled learning adventure this winter season. This vacation program will let us take a look at some of the birds we can see in winter an their adaptations! Program will be indoors and outdoors, and participants should come prepared to be outside in winter weather. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required, and space will be limited.

Mass Audubon’s North River Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield

It may be winter, but that won’t keep us indoors! At Mass Audubon’s North River Wildlife Sanctuary in Marshfield, the February Vacation adventures will highlight the outdoor joys only winter can provide. Winter beachcombing, searching for animal tracks in the snow, crafts, games, and fireside s’mores are just some of the activities that will keep your kids energized, entertained, and even educated about how plants and animals weather the cold.

(extended day available 3-5pm)
This class is great for all skill levels, whether you are new to theatre or have experience on the stage. Students spend day 1 focusing on technique of auditioning. Students then spend the days working on three different scenes, learning how to focus on character and building the scene. Throughout the week students will make their own props with the help of our teen interns, & learn musical theatre choreography. Students will present scene work on Friday Feb. 24th!

North River Art Society Art Camp 

This week will be full of fun activities and awesome art projects. Painting, drawing, 3D and more! Flexible sign up – spend a day or two with us, or join us for the entire week! Bring a snack. For ages 6-9 with Marion Carlson. 9:30am-12:30pm each day. Flexible sign-up – spend a day or 2 with us or an entire week. Fee: $35 per day or $150 for the 5 day week.
