The Gardening Green Expo will be held on Saturday April 1st 10-4pm at Kennedy Country gardens in Scituate! It will be a day of great new, and traditional gardening ideas.
The theme for this year is Beautiful Landscapes Less Water, and the event will feature talks and demonstrations on how to make your yard beautiful and bountiful and save water at the same time! The expo is Saturday, April 1 from 10:00am-4:00pm at Kennedy’s Country Gardens, 85 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy (Rt. 3A), Scituate. This is a FREE event and is family friendly, so bring the kids!
Drought tolerant plants, composting and amending your soil, organic lawn care practices, the importance of healthy soil, low-water grass seed cultivars, managing your water resources, soil testing, incorporating edibles into your landscape and animals that help the garden – these are just a few of the speakers, workshops and exhibits coming to the Gardening Green Expo.
You can stroll through Greenhouse 4 and visit with vendors of products and services that will help you get the best out of your garden and lawn. The Massachusetts Master Gardener Association will once again be providing soil testing (Click here for instructions on preparing your soil sample), as well as focusing on drought tolerant plants. There will also be talks by local experts and environmental organizations:
