Pirates Ashore day will be held on Saturday May 19th from 945 to 3pm on the Plymouth waterfront!
In 1646, three mysterious shiploads of English privateers sailed into Plymouth harbor flush with Spanish gold and rich cargoes they had seized in the Caribbean… Join us on Saturday, May 19th as we relive the tumult!
Pirates Ashore in Plymouth is an annual all-day reenactment of the little-known visit of three pirate ships to Plymouth Colony in May 1646 as described in Governor William Bradford’s Of Plimoth Plantation. Visitors of all ages are invited to spend the day downtown at the Mayflower Society House for pirate and pilgrim fun!

Pirates Ashore in Plymouth will now be held at the historic Spire Center for Performing Arts at 25 Court Street, just a short walk from the Mayflower Society House!

Navigation in the Golden Age of Piracy
Lecture by Captain Joe Pereira at the Mayflower Society House ~ Free and open to the public!
Saturday 10 AM – 12 PM
Visit the pirate encampment at the Spire Center for musket drills, colonial artisans in action and to sword fight with a pirate! OH and keep your eyes peeled for pirates causing raucous around town! 😉

Witness the final, fatal sword fight between a rowdy sailor and the Pirate Captain at the Spire Center

Murder Trial for the Pirate Captain by the Plymouth Council of War at the Spire Center – will he be convicted? Be there to find out!
Pirates Ashore Strongwater Soiree ~ 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM Swing on by The Pillory Pub for sea shanties with our pirates and a mug of “strongwater” from local fave Independent Fermentations Brewing!*****
