South Shore Conservatory Art Programs Hingham & Duxbury

Sharing is caring!

South Shore Conservatory (SSC), the largest community school for the arts in New England with campuses in Hingham and Duxbury. It is a place that creates opportunities for people of all ages to shine in all the performing art forms: music of all genres and styles, dance and drama.  The SSC community includes infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, college students and adults; some who prefer to participate, while others are more comfortable being audience members.

Staying true to its initial mission of making quality arts education accessible to the community, South Shore Conservatory offers an award-winning arts-integrated preschool, a youth orchestra and chorus, a special chorus for adults with developmental delays, plus school vacation camps and summer camps.

For performance lovers, SSC offers free Conservatory Concert Series concerts and Coffee Break Concert Series performances featuring the Conservatory’s outstanding professional faculty and guest artists throughout the school year.  SSC also has a Jazz/Rock/Pop concert series. The summertime shines with Evenings Under the Stars Saturday night concerts, Wacky Wednesdays family concerts in the Jane Carr Amphitheater in Hingham, and the renowned two-week long Duxbury Music Festival.
