2017 Annual Quincy Christmas Holiday Parade and Celebrations

The City of Quincy will host its annual slate of Christmas events beginning on Friday, November 24th with the Turning on of the Christmas Lights. Santa and his elves will arrive by parachute on November 25th and the 64th  Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, November 27th at 12:30. All events are free and open to the public.

Friday, November 25th , 2017  5pm-7pm
McIntyre Mall (tents in front of City Hall), 1305 Hancock Street, Quincy

Check out all the Christmas Holiday Fun South Shore Boston 

The activities will kick off at 5:00 pm and includes the Donna Marie Children’s Puppet show, Costumed Characters, and the combined Quincy/ North Quincy Choir. The performances will be held inside of a heated tent that will be set up on the lawn. At 6:00 PM, Mayor Thomas P. Koch will turn on the Christmas lights at the library and throughout Quincy Center to mark the beginning of our holiday season. Please join family and friends and enjoy free popcorn and hot chocolate on this very special night.

Santa and his Elves arrival by parachute RESCHEDULED TO SAT DECEMBER 2ND 
On Saturday, November 26, characters from the parade greet children as they await Santa Claus arrival by parachute at Pageant Field, One Merrymount Parkway, starting at noon. 12

The parade has over 100 units which include high school and adult marching bands from around the state, Christmas themed floats, and many more exciting entries.     The legend of Christmas in story and song.” is the theme fr the 65th annual event

This holiday tradition is often attended by mulitple generations of families who usually have a favorite spot along the route; Hancock Street between School Street and East Squantum Street. The parade kicks off at School Street intersection starting at 12:30
