There will be a variety of artisans selling their beautiful handmade items to include

3 crafters demonstrating their art inside the old Town Hall; 10-4.

Ruth Gross will demonstrate and discuss her realistic art quilts, based on photographs. These pieces are framed raw edged appliqué quilts made from a variety of printed and patterned cotton fabrics.

Kayla Darling, a freshman at Bridgewater State College, will demonstrate her drawing technique. She will do so on sneakers and/or paper. Quite Unique!

Leanne Wilkie has been creating custom hand woven baskets for over sixteen years. Her baskets and handbags are colorful and like nothing you will see inside a store that sells commercial baskets.

Some different types of entertainment and programs joining the Festival this year will be a WWI program, a old-fashioned Fire Engine and one extraordinary performance to listen to. All three are worth the visit.

The WWI Program will revolve around the combat art sketches of Frederick Mayo, who was with the 26th Infantry Division known as the Yankee Division. He was from Fall River and awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart medals for his service in Great War. There will be a complete kit of a WWI Doughboy as well as German artifacts. This year is the 100th anniversary of the United States entering the War to help out our European neighbors.

The Old Engine 3 Association, Inc. is a newly formed historical association interested in preserving Lakeville’s Fire Department history and in particular Engine 3, Lakeville’s first brand new fire apparatus in 1950. Engine 3 will be on display throughout the year at the Lakeville Historical Society’s fire department exhibit at the Museum on Bedford Street.

Old Colony Highlanders is an inter-generational bagpipe and drum band devoted to fostering the music and culture of the Great Highland Bagpipe and drums through performance and competition in southeastern New England and beyond. If you have never heard a bagpipe band you are in for a treat! They will join us for a special performance at 11:30am. Be sure to come for a listen.

Let’s not forget the food: TheLakeville United Church of Christ will have hamburgers, hotdogs and more, the First Universalist Unitarian Society of Middleboro will be serving chicken salad plus yummy hot soups and Yakisoba Noodles; yummy Japanese grilled noodles.
