Abington Rockland  & Whitman  Tri Town Parade 2014

The annual Abington, Rockland & Whitman Tri-Town Parade steps off at 9 a.m. Tuesday November 11th  at the corner of Summit and Union street in Rockland.

 

 Braintree  Ceremony 2014

On Sunday November 9th , the town will rededicate one of the memorials in Veterans Mall in front of town hall. Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the East Middle School on River Street. Coffee and doughnuts will be served in the school cafeteria at 9:30.

Duxbury Veterans Day Ceremony 2014

11 a.m. Tuesday 11/11  at the American Legion post, 5 West St. The ceremony will focus on recognizing and rewarding the service of World War II veterans. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

Halifax Veterans Day Ceremony 2014

9 a.m. Tuesday at town hall, 499 Plymouth St. Wreaths will be placed at the various monuments near town hall, and attendees will speak.

Hingham Veterans Day Breakfast & Ceremony 2014

Breakfast: 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hingham Senior Center. The event is open to all military personnel, veterans and their families.

Ceremony: 11 a.m. Monday in town hall’s Sanborn Auditorium. There will be reserved seating for all military members and veterans.

Hull Veterans Day Ceremony 2014

November 11th at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Monument Park. Charles Gould, a World War II veteran, will speak. The Hull High School Band, the Hull Memorial School Choir and an interfaith choir from three churches will perform.

Marshfield Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony 2014

Parade: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday starting behind the Marshalls store on Snow Road. The parade will end at Veterans Memorial Park.

Ceremony: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Park, once the parade gets there. Veterans’ names will be read. In the event of rain, there will be no parade, just a ceremony.

Milton Parade and Ceremony  2014

10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Milton High School  Ceremony immediately after the parade at town hall

Norwell Veterans Day Ceremony 2014

Ceremony will be at  11 a.m. Tuesday at the town common on Main Street.

Pembroke Ceremony 2014

11 a.m.  ceremony  on Tuesday at Pembroke Middle School, 559 School St. There will be guest speakers, and the Pembroke High School Chorus will perform.

Plymouth Parade & Ceremony 2014

: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, starting at Hedge Road and ending at the Training Green with a ceremony at the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial. The grand marshal will be 1st Lt. Greg Hayward, a Vietnam veteran who was a platoon commander in the Marines. U.S. Navy Petty Officer Jim Kelley will be the guest speaker. In the event of rain, a program will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Blue Room at Memorial Hall. For more information, call 508-747-1620, Ext. 172.

Quincy Veterans Day Parade 2014

Parade: Steps off at 10:30 a.m. from the Quincy Credit Union parking lot. The parade route goes toward Hancock Street to the Quincy Historical Society. The ceremony will be held on Adams Street. In the event of rain, services will be held in the Quincy High School gym.

Randolph Breakfast & Parade 2014

9 a.m. Tuesday at the VFW hall, 10 Highland Ave. The breakfast is open to the public. At 10:30, following the breakfast, a group will march from the VFW to the war memorial outside the Turner Free Library in Crawford Square.

Scituate Veterans Ceremony 2014

11 a.m. Tuesday at the GAR Hall, 353 Country Way, hosted by American Legion Post 144. All veterans and a guest are invited to attend a turkey luncheon following the ceremony. Seating is limited. Call Bob Young, the post commander, at 617-417-5267 to make a reservation.

Sharon Veteran’s  Day Ceremony 2014

Ceremony: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday on the corner of Billings and Pond streets. There will be a display featuring military vehicles and a veterans booth. At noon, there will be speakers at the same location.

Stoughton Veterans Day Parade 2014

9 a.m. Tuesday starting at VFW Post 837 on Washington Street. The parade will stop at town hall for a ceremony and wreath laying at the Memorial Bell. The parade will re-form on Pearl Street, and another ceremony will be held at Faxon Veterans Memorial Park. The participants will include local veterans, the VFW color guard and firing detail, the Stoughton High School band, local police and fire departments, town and state officials and local Scouts.
