Sunday Schedule

Sunday afternoon for the greatest line up of Irish Bands this side of Boston has ever experienced

Celtic Sunday Artists
The Fenian Sons
They were formed in 1996 in a Boston neighborhood. The members have been leaders in Irish music and used their Irish American roots to carry on the traditions of Irish greats such as the Clancy Brothers and the Wolfetones. They have just released their third CD, “617” which features an exciting mix of traditional Irish offerings and original tracks. The members of this band are key players in the close knit Boston Irish music community.

Erin’s Melody
Margaret Dalton and Erin’s Melody has been a staple on the Irish music scene for years. They are a wonderful band who plays Irish, country, and popular music. The band has Milton roots and is well known to both Milton residents and the Boston Irish community.

Cat and the Moon
This band is a blend of the driving and the calm, of traditional and modern. They have taken the roots of Celtic and Bluegrass, turning it into a new kind of exiting and original sound. This five piece band has been astounding their listening audiences since 2013. This group comes highly recommended by the creator of “Celtic Sojourn,” WGBH’s Mr. Brian O’Donovan.

DEVRI IRISH
An exciting and dynamic band with major ties to Ireland. Their music ranges from classical ballads to exciting tunes and rousing music of Ireland, with selections ranging from artists such as The Pogues, U2, Johnny Cash, Sawdoctors, as well as original offerings. They are well acknowledged on the Boston music scene, New York and beyond. In 2013, they released a new CD titled “Broad Street.”

Pauline Wells
Originally from Cambridge, she has called Milton home for almost 20 years. Pauline has quietly placed her own stamp on her music, spanning genres from Irish to Country, Rock and Roll and Patriotic. Her heartfelt ballads will bring you to tears. For the past eight years, she has united with DEVRI to present audiences with first rate entertainment gracing the stage at hallowed music venues such as The Wilbur Theatre, Old Town Hall in Manhattan NYC, The Blue Ocean Music Hall, and the newly reopened Norwood Theatre.

Frankie Gavin and DeDannan
We are honored to have this legendary group headlining Celtic Sunday. Their debut in Ireland took place in 1974 and they have remained a force both as recording artists and performers for over three decades. Band founder Frank Gavin’s virtuosic and fiery fiddle playing serves as the backbone of this highly accomplished group. De Dannan has travelled the world moving audiences from Europe to the United States and Asia. The traditional roots of De Dannan have played an influential role in the development of modern Irish music. Everyone attending Celtic Sunday will be enthralled by the instrumental skill and expressive vocalizing of these worldly artists.

The Music Fest is at Governor Hutchinson’s Field on Adams Street in Milton. Adams Street will be closed in the area of the festival.
