Day 846 Marshfield SummerFest 2014
The 3rd  Marshfield SummerFest, a day of family fun and entertainment, will be held from 11am to  4pm. Sunday, June 22nd   At town hall and on the town green.
The World’s Shortest Parade will start at 11 a.m. at Library Plaza and proceed across Webster Street and down Snow Road before ending at the town green. It will include the Boston Crusaders Senior Drum and Bugle Corps, floats, dance groups, decorated bikes, trucks and antique and classic cars.
SummerFest will have many craft vendors from Marshfield and beyond, a local farmers market, food vendors, musical entertainment and a variety of carnival rides.
There will be an arts and crafts tent, a touch-a-truck event and a dunk tank with town celebrities. A police K-9 demonstration will take place at 1 p.m. on the town green, and skateboard lessons will be offered from 4 to 5 p.m. at Uncle Bud’s Skate Park.
A portion of the SummerFest 2014 proceeds will benefit the Good Neighbor Fund and the Emerson Lily Hitchcock Memorial Foundation.
