Day 497 Hug Foundation Bruins Alumni Game in Rockland MA
The 2nd annual Hug Foundation Bruins Alumni game will take place on January 26th 2013.  The Ice Huggers will face off against the Boston Bruins Alumni at 3:00 PM at the Rockland Rink.
The Bruins Alumni players include Jeff Dumart, Bobby Miller, Frank Simonetti,Don Awrey, Bruce Shoebottom,Glen Featherstone,Reggie Lemelin,Billy O’Dwyer, Dave Reid, Peter Douris, Fred Ahern, Tom Songin, John Carter and Rick Middleton.
Tickets are in for the hockey game on Jan 26. $10.00 adults $5.00 kids. Tickets available at Tranquil Escape Day Spa in Brockton, Old Town Real Estate Abington, Reilly Law Office Abington, J P Ryan’s Tavern, Abington and the Rockland Rink.
The Ice huggers each need $1000 to play the game you can make a donation as well if you can’t attend the game.
The Hug Foundation was founded by Abington residents Alex and Lisa Bezanson shortly after Alex lost his sister Linda to cancer three years ago.
HUG, which stands for “Help Us Give“ was founded with the intention of helping people who may have stumbled onto hard times and need financial assistance. After Linda died, Alex and Lisa realized how expensive it was for people to visit loved ones in the hospital between parking, time off of work and other related expenses.
Money should be the last of their worries during troubled times and the HUG Foundation was created to help offset expenses.
