Day 469 Plymouth Taste of the Town 2012
The 9th  annual Plymouth Taste of the Town will be held on Thursday November 8th at 7pm. This year’s event, to benefit the Plymouth Public Library, will be held at the Radisson Hotel, Plymouth Harbor. 
This year’s theme is “sip, support and savor” and the line-up will include food from some of the area’s top restaurants. In addition to savoring gastronomic delights, guests will have the opportunity to sample over 70 different wines, as well as some great beers and spirits.
What brings everyone in, though, is the “support” piece. Over 300 people show up each year and display their commitment to the library’s vast lineup of programs. The centerpiece of the annual happening is actually not the food or the wine. It is an incredible silent auction that includes donated items from local merchants and artisans. Many great items go up on the block to benefit America’s Hometown library.
In addition, Taste of the Town features the annual “Book Pop”. Guests are offered the chance to buy an unknown book, wrapped in a plain white wrapper, for $20. Some of those mystery books also include a prize.
