The Boys & Girls Club City Camp

Camp Welch is the oldest camp of its kind in the United States. With 165 acres of wooded property to include 20 camp buildings, ball fields and two swimming pools, Camp Welch is the Club’s sole program site during the summer months providing a safe place to learn and grow for youth who may otherwise be unsupervised and on city streets during the day. A full range of activities are available including basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, swimming lessons and pool recreation, arts and crafts, hiking and fitness. Bus transportation is provided from downtown Fall River to Camp Welch every weekday. Camp Welch’s budget is a major part of the Boys & Girls Club operation and mission. For a child to attend Camp Welch, the cost is $160 per week or $32 per day (3 day minimum). A Campership Donation is a great way to provide a youth in need the opportunity to attend Camp Welch during the summer vacation months.
