The Goddard School will be hosting a free family fun day at their school in Braintee on Saturday July 26th from 11:30 to 1;30 pm. There will be petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, crafts and games for kids from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

The parade begins at the Hollis School, 482 Washington St, continues south down Washington St, turns right onto Washington St at South Braintree Square, turns right onto Franklin St, turns left onto the Braintree High School access road and ends.
Best views for performances for the various acts will be in front of Braintree Town Hall and The Thayer Public Library located on Washington St.

4 PM – 5 PM The Memphis Rackabilly Band! Playing songs that range from rockabilly, surf instrumentals, rock & roll, hillbilly to rhythm and blues, Memphis Rockabilly Band is a great dance band and a favorite of swing dancers.
MEMBERS: Billy Coover on lead guitar, sax and vocals, Roy Sludge on keyboards, guitar and lead vocals, PJ Justice on bass and vocals, Judd Williams on drums. As in the past, the band’s repertoire includes original and cover songs drawn from rockabilly, surf instrumentals, rock & roll, hillbilly and rhythm and blues. Braintree After School program will be holding annual fun filled Touch-A-Truck event sponsored by on Saturday June 21st from 10-1 at the front parking lot of Braintree High School.
Never mind the over 20 vehicles we have children can excessively climb and interact with, but they also have a HELICOPTER flying in at 10:30 and landing right on the BHS field, a Police Canine demonstration, car seat safety instillation, safety ID’s and fingerprinting for children, an Irish Step demonstration, a ‘train’ ride, vendors, and much more!
Entrance fee is a 100% direct donation to our non-profit daycare and after school program. Fee of $5.00 per person or $20 per car. Event is sponsored by Liberty Bay credit union.
B.A.S.E. is a well established child care program located in Braintree, Massachusetts. Since opening in 1985, we have become the largest after school program in Braintree and have developed a strong foundation within the community. We currently provide children in preschool through grade 7, with the opportunity to play and learn in a safe and caring environment.

Neil Simon’s (writer of “The Odd Couple”) Barefoot in the Park follows the lives of newlyweds Paul and Corrie Bratter as they adjust to married life in a tiny Greenwich Village apartment circa 1964. Paul is a lawyer who’s wound a little too tight, while Corrie is a free spirit with all kinds of romantic notions. Comic chaos ensues as the Bratters’ marriage begins to collapse under the pressure of a five-flight walk-up, a skylight that leaks snow, an eccentric neighbor who must climb through their apartment to get to his, and Corrie’s misguided attempt to marry off her mother.

Actor, Comedian & Writer Steve Schirripa AKA Bobby Baccalieri from HBO’s Sopranos fame will host a night of comedy and rock sponsored by Yale Appliance & Lighting featuring Comedians Christine Hurley (Seen on Nick’s Americas Funniest Mom), Ken Rogerson (Seen on Conan O’Brien Show), Johnny Pizzi (National Headliner), and a live performance by Aerosmith tribute band Draw the Line.
