Braintree FunFest Family Fun Day 2016

Braintree Fun Fest  & Craft Fair Fundraiser  will be held   on Sunday July 10th at French’s Common (next to Braintree Town Hall) to raise money for a wheelchair accessible van for Braintree resident, Crystal Evans.
Admission to Braintree Fun Fest & Craft Fair Fundraiser is $5/person and includes 5 game tickets! We will have over 20 carnival games, food, entertainment, raffles, a silent auction, as well as a craft fair!  They  will be selling hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks and snacks.All proceeds from food sales will benefit the wheelchair fun.

They will   have over 20 games at FunFest including:

Ring Toss
Archery
Sling Shot
Nerf Shooting Range
Milk Bottle Smash

Braintree 4th of July annual fireworks, parade carnival celebration 2016

The 43rd  annual Braintree 4th of July celebration will be held on Saturday June 25th! It is a fun filled day for the whole family including a parade, a carnival and fireworks. (check out the whole fireworks schedule) Braintree 4th of July annual fireworks, parade carnival celebration 2016

THE STARS AND STRIPES PARADE STEPS OFF AT 11:45AM
NEW PARADE ROUTE THIS YEAR! The parade begins in the parking lot of the Registry of Motor Vehicles/Bayshore Athletic Club (14 Plain Street), takes a right out of the parking lot onto Plain St and then a quick right onto Hancock St and proceeds north on Hancock St through South Braintree Square, continues straight as Hancock St becomes Washington St and ends at the Hollis School, 482 Washington St, Braintree.

Best views for performances for the various acts will be in front of Braintree Town Hall and The Thayer Public Library located on Washington St.

2:00 PM Games and Rides begin by North American Amusement  Food vendors from local groups will be available to satisfy your taste with various delicious fair.

Monster Trucks!  New Jersey Monster Trucks will have their featured Truck Webslinger on display and tickets are available for rides! (ticket price and admittance separate from North American Amusements)

2:30 to 4 PM Memphis Rockabilly Band!  Playing songs that range from rockabilly, surf instrumentals, rock & roll, hillbilly to rhythm and blues, Memphis Rockabilly Band is a great dance band and a favorite of swing dancers.

MEMBERS: Billy Coover on lead guitar, sax and vocals, Roy Sludge on keyboards, guitar and lead vocals, PJ Justice on bass and vocals, Judd Williams on drums.  As in the past, the band’s repertoire includes original and cover songs drawn from rockabilly, surf instrumentals, rock & roll, hillbilly and rhythm and blues. Memphis Rockabilly Band has always been known as a great dance band and a favorite of swing dancers, and that tradition continues.

Divas with a Twist is a unique musical group which performs all different genres of music, based out of Boston, MA.  With five powerhouse female vocalists, backed by Grammy nominated musicians, Divas with a Twist is sure to captivate any audience.  The musicians and vocalists bring originality and a high powered sound, creating, and delivering unique and highly entertaining performances every time! You’ll hear songs by Queen, The Who, Gloria Estefan, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Maroon Five, Lady Gaga Adele and MORE!

*The rain date is Sunday, June 26 6-10PM with DJ music and kids games starting at 6 PM with the fireworks at 10 PM. Check back for weather and postponement updates.
