Plymouth Air Show 2016
The Plymouth airshow will be held on Saturday August 20th 10am-2pm From kids activities, to airplanes and helicopterson the ground, great food, a fun air show, aircraft simulators, and a raffle to win two round trip tickets to Nantucket on Cape Air, there will be lots to do. For kids (and adults!) of all ages, there will be tons of things to do. The kids area will have a bouncy house, face painting, corn hole game, and giveaways. In the exhibit area, you’ll find many different simulators for flying and fixing planes. Try the Young Marines chin up bar to test your strength! In the aircraft area, climb in Alpha One’s Cessna to get a chance to feel what it’s like to become a pilot someday. Check out the Blackhawk helicopter from the aviation facility at Otis on Cape Cod. Walk around the aircraft display on the ground to see many different shapes and sizes of airplanes and helicopters. Food from local companies such as Little Red Smokehouse (Carver) and Farms to Forks (Plymouth) will be selling a variety of great lunch offerings. For your sweet tooth we have two local Plymouth favorites: El Pro Ice Cream and Kona Ice.
Don’t forget to buy a $5 raffle ticket for a chance to win round trip tickets for two to Nantucket on Cape Air. Runner up prizes include scenic flights (for 2-3 people per flight) and more! The raffle is a “Golf Ball Drop” – where you’ll be assigned your own numbered golf ball which will fall to the ground from a helicopter. The drop will be the last air show flight – so make sure you stick around.
Bring a food donation! The South Shore Community Action Council will have a table and will be accepting non-perishable food donations. Anyone who brings a donated food item will be entered to win a scenic flight around beautiful Plymouth for 2-3 people.
Tickets are only $10 per vehicle. Purchase them when you park or buy tickets online before your arrive. See you at the Plymouth Airport, Plymouth, MA on August 20th (August 21st is our back up rain date).
