Free Tuesday night summer concerts at Sunset Lake 2016 in Braintree MA
The Sunset Lake Braintree Concert Series is back for 2016. The free summer concerts will be Tuesday evenings except for the first week it will be Wednesday 6:00-8:00pm at Sunset Lake’s gazebo bandstand. Bring your blanket or lawn chair. Arrive early and be entertained for two free hours. June 22nd (Wednesday Night) -“CURRAGH’S FANCY”
Curragh’s Fancy’s music is heavily influenced by many of the best-known Irish bands, including the Clancy Brothers, The Irish Rovers, the Dubliners, the Wolfe Tones, and Planxty, to name as few. Folk influences include the Kingston Trio, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Stan Rogers, and The Old Crow Medicine Show. Trio members Dave Leahy, Michael Kelley, and Bob Fowkes play several instruments: guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, bouzouki, and tin whistle, and all three share in the singing. They perform a lively mix of old pub favorites and newer material.
