North River Festival of Arts Memorial Day Weekend 2015 in Marshfield MA

Sharing is caring!

The North River Festival of the Arts is a celebration of regional and community creativity, diversity, and art across the South Shore that has been a highlight of Memorial Day Weekend since 1977. Even though this will be the 39th annual Festival, each year features different art and artists, entertainment, food, and special activities that appeal to all ages. The Festival will be held on Saturday May 23th and Sunday May 24th Admission to the festival is FREE

festcollageposterLocated on Old Main Street in Marshfield Hills, the Festival offers art and photography exhibits, a fair and street party, and a marketplace for artists and artisans. There are juried awards and prizes for artists and the opportunity for visitors to see (and buy) the best work of the area’s painters, photographers, and artisans. Featured and juried art will include paintings, drawings, photographs, and multi-media sculptures, as well as wood carvings, textiles, and almost any form of the visual arts you can imagine.

Two blocks of Old Main Street in Marshfield Hills will be blocked to traffic, so people will be browsing among several indoor exhibit locations for juried hanging art and outdoor tents where artists and artisans will demonstrate, display, and sell their work. Several of our best artists will be doing painting demonstrations out on the sidewalks, and musical entertainment will be featured across the street from our G.A.R. Hall
