Marshfield Blizzard Benefit Fundraiser 2015

The Blizzard Benefit has been rescheduled due to more snow to March 22nd 4-8pm

 

The Marshfield Blizzard Benefit will take place next Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at three restaurants in Brant Rock: Venus II, Haddad’s  Ocean Cafe  and The Jetty. Recognizing the significant financial needs of numerous families and individuals that has arisen from damages during the Blizzard of 2015 restaurant leaders and community leaders have come together to plan a “Blizzard Benefit” fundraiser.

For a $20 donation patrons will receive a wrist band that allows them to enter each of the three restaurants, to hear live, professional music, and to enjoy light hors d’oeuvres. In addition each person making a donation will receive three raffle tickets, allowing them to bid on numerous raffle items that are being donated from area residents and merchants. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at each of the three participating restaurants as a means of raising additional relief funds.
100% of the proceeds from this “Blizzard Benefit” fundraiser will be given to eligible families and individuals who have suffered financial hardship, through “The Good Neighbor Fund”, a Marshfield based 501(c)(3) organization.
Those who wish to help neighbors through “Blizzard Benefit” can participate in several ways: (1) by coming to the event in person this Sunday, February 15, between 3:00 and 7:00 PM, (2) with a direct contribution to The Good Neighbor Fund, or (3) by donating a raffle item. Financial donations to help those in need can be made to “The Good Neighbor Fund” and brought either to the three participating restaurants or they can be mailed c/o Malcolm Gale, PO Box 1162, Marshfield, MA. 02050. Donations of raffle items are being organized by Marshfield Kiwanis. To make a donation of a raffle item please contact Mike Devine by e-mail at captmike2@verizon.net.
This is a family event, will all children under age 12 being able to come for free.
The following is the current line-up of music for each of the three venues:
Haddad’s: The Eastwoods and Sleepeaters.
Venus II: South Shore Blues All Stars, including Sam Gentile, Anthony Geraci, and Tim Gartland
The Jetty: Duo of Jon Fratassio & Jim Sylvia and singer/song-writer Sean McLaughlin.
