Day 708 Rockland Holiday Stroll 2013

The  2013   Rockland  Holiday Stroll is scheduled to take place Saturday evening , November  30th   2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. The stroll  will take place from the Rockland Library to the Magoun-Biggins Home.  This is a great Christmas holiday event for the entire family. 858936_675189859188615_117514541_o

At 4 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at Biggins Funeral Home via Fire engines and Police escorts  . The MAD Dancers of Rockland Athelic  and town Hall.   There will also be a special performance by south Shore Tae Kwon Do.

Children are welcome to take free pictures with Santa and they can also drop off any letters for Santa that they might have. Just make sure you include your name and address.

There will be two hayrises sponsored by The Rockland Eagles and the Knights of Columbus. Town Hall will be hosting Crazy Critters

At 5 p.m., the churches in town will be hosting events. The Congregational Church will host “bell-ringers,” the First Baptist Church will offer music and refreshments ,  Trinity Church will be showing a live Nativity scene and the Channing Uniterian church will have refreshments and bell ringing.

Stroll-goers are also welcome to stop by the fire station on Union Street, where there will be an open house.

Next to the fire station at a fire pit, town resident Brian White will be making his famous clam chowder, while Steve Murphy & Atlantic Coffee, will offer free coffee.

Town Hall, banks and other businesses will be open along Union Street, many of them giving away holiday treats.
