The following are places to go ice skating  on the South Shore  that have public skate times during the winter months

Winter Skate Patriot Place 

2023-2024

Construction of the most dramatic Gillette Stadium improvements since its opening in 2002 began in the north end of the stadium this year. Given this ongoing construction and its extended footprint throughout our property, Winter Skate at Patriot Place will not operate this season

The Asiaf Skating Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility, overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). FMC has been operating the arena for DCR since 1992. The arena is a full service skating facility offering an extensive variety of skating programs for all ages and abilities. The facility features a heated conference room, facilities for birthday parties, as well as a snack bar. The Asiaf Skating Arena provides patrons with affordable recreation in a clean, safe, and well maintained facility.  You can rent ice skates here.

The Armstrong Skating Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility, overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). FMC Ice Sports has been operating the arena for DCR since 1992. The arena is a full service skating facility offering an extensive variety of skating programs for all ages and abilities.

The facility features a heated conference room and facilities for birthday parties.

The Armstrong Skating Arena provides patrons with affordable recreation in a clean, safe, and well maintained facility. Skate rentals are available as well as learn to skate program for tots, youths and 16 plus

The Winterland Skating School, located at the Rockland Ice Rink, provides five Learn-To-Skate classes per week. These professionally run classes are well known and draw skaters from many towns. Our students range in age from three through adults. Classes are divided by age and level. Skaters are tested for badges at the end of each 8-week session. There is a new session every two months throughout the year.

Bridgewater Ice Arena

We offer several Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs, public skating/shooting, figure skating, skills/clinics and numerous summer programs.

Public Skating takes place most Monday – Friday’s at the Bridgewater Ice Arena, usually from 11:00am – 11:50pm. The cost to skate is $6.00 and $4.00 for skate rental. Skating will typically occur on these days unless otherwise indicated. Children are required to wear helmets.

PLEASE CHECK IN AT OFFICE BEFORE ENTERING THE ICE

Extreme Skate returns in November 27th on Saturday Nights. The cost to skate is $10.00 and Skate Rental is $5.00

Boch Ice Center Dedham

The Boch Ice Center is a state of the art facility that hosts hockey teams, skating programs, tournaments, training sessions, family programs, and more!  they have learn to skate programs plus some public skate hours you can check out all the access here

 

Tauton Ice Skating

The Aleixo Skating Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility, overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). FMC has been operating the arena for DCR since 1993. The arena features a pro shop operated by J&B Sports (508) 823-0350, a heated conference room, facilities for birthday parties, as well as a snack bar. The Aleixo Skating Arena provides patrons with affordable recreation in a clean, safe, and well maintained facility.

Outside Ice skating rinks

Quincy Outdoor Ice skating Rink 

Located outside of Quincy center near the Ihop  Free skating Weekend will need reservations and maybe saved for Quincy residents only

Carver Community Playground ice Skating 

located behind the Carver Town Hall, adjacent to the King Property Recreation Complex.

The  Skating Rink is  now open.  The lights will go off at 9:00 pm, so please make sure you plan accordingly.
Please remember rink rules: No Alcohol allowed on property, No Hockey sticks or pucks, No disruptive behavior, Be Respectful of other skaters, and please make sure you pick up all trash, and we keep the area clean. Also, skating and using this facility are at your own risk. This property is under LIVE video surveillance at all times.
